Omega Health Rescue Silent Auction
Omega Health Rescue has been involved in horse rescue and rehabilitation since the 1980s and continues to save hundreds of horses every year. Kelly Smith who is the director of Omega Health Rescue and her staff are dedicated to finding loving and nurturing homes for our four-legged friends whether it is a horse, pony, mule or donkey. Horses are most commonly abused or neglected, however sometimes horses are simply abandoned because of financial reasons. Omega Health Rescue travels to slaughter auctions around the country looking to save abandoned and mistreated horses. These horses have stories behind them and bright futures ahead of them. Omega Health Rescue gives these equine friends a second chance at leading a very happy, healthy and productive life.
Omega Horse Rescue is pleased to be at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival and invite you to their silent auction hosted by Ken Berkley and Karen Long Dwight. Located at the International Hunter Ring, they have special items from Project Runway’s Bert Keeter, exclusive jewelry, horse attire, beautiful home and tack room furnishings, personal portrait sittings, coaching from Equestriancoach.com, and baskets for you and your horse. Omega Horse Rescue appreciates the support of many friends; however, they need your support to continue their mission of rescuing horses in need. This event and their participation is due to many contributors including artist Linda Luster, BJ’s Hunt Room, Fox Run LTD, Louise Serio, “R” rated judge Cynthia Hankins, Weatherbeeta Blankets and many others. The auction is open now and concludes just after the WCHR Spectacular on Saturday evening. Please go and see them and learn about their mission to improve the lives of animals and horses in need of retraining, veterinary care, and adoption. Here is one success story they would like to share with everyone at Wellington: http://www.ydr.com/local/ci_22409615/scribbles-horse-bound-slaughter-gets-second-chance-and?source=email
